for Senior Monotype Centreboard Sailors (Laser Radial OK Finn etc)

NOTICE OF RACE

The regatta will be organised and hosted by the Pupuke Boating Club (Inc), Sylvan Park, Milford
and will be held on Lake Pupuke over the weekend 19th 20th May 2018

1.0 Rules

The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 - 2020 (the rules)

2.0 Alterations of Racing Rules

rule 32 will include an additional method of shortening the course using 'S' over numeral '1'
rule 33 will include an alternate method of changing the course
rule 35 will be extended to say "any boats that have not finished within 10 minutes of the first boat to finish, may be scored as DNF"
rule 44 will say 'a One-turn penalty is required for a breach of a Part-2 rule'

3.0 Eligibility and Entry

Entries will be accepted on race-days at the lake
Entry fees: . . $40 qualifies one for the series and prizes
A separate Class event may be started if six or more boats are entered for that class

4.0 Schedule of Events

Saturday1100 - briefing
 1130 - 4 races (back-to-back)
Sunday1130 - 3 races (back-to-back)
 1500 - PrizeGiving

5.0 Sailing Instructions

6.0 Courses to be sailed

Windward-leeward courses (about 40min duration) will be sailed about fixed marks in the lake

7.0 Scoring

The LowPoint system Appendix A will apply, three races constituting the Championship
If five races have been completed, a boat's worst score is excluded from her total

8.0 Prizes

Major prizes will be awarded to placegetters in Class events and standard age divisions, thereafter by a 'Spot prize' procedure
A pack of sponsor product may be presented to each competitor at registration
