Qualifications:
I have received my Bachelors in Social Studies Broadfield Secondary Education and a Masters in Public History. My educational training, as well as my internship and work experience has made me a qualified candidate for a position with a non-profit museum or historical institution. My extensive internship experiences have left me confident that I could withstand any project placed before me in the historic arena. These internships provided me with a wide array of work experience in this field including working with artifacts, designing and implanting lesson plans, as well as working with and catering to public need. My other work experience has also given me a great work ethic, as I have a stellar attendance record.

Professional Experience:
Member of the Board of Directors, Secretary, Membership Coordinator, Co-Chairman of Christmas at the Inn *Elmbrook Historical Society, Dousman Stagecoach Inn, Brookfield, WI (November 2012) Participated in several on-site events, such as Halloween and Christmas at the Inn. Responsible for recruiting new members. Attended board meetings and actively voted on important decisions which affect the society and museum. Planning and implementing French traditions and decorations for two-day special event for Christmas. Also involved in the Nominating Committee for adding new members to the Board of Directors. Recently been added on for the position of Secretary for Board Meetings as well.

- Education Intern
Elmbrook Historical Society, Dousman Stagecoach Inn, Brookfield, WI (August 2011-January 2012) Participated in several on-site events, such as a Laura Ingalls Wilder Day and Halloween. Helped develop a One-Room Schoolhouse program. Helped in writing a grant for the One-Room Schoolhouse program. Digitized a hand-written inventory. Worked on an Underground Railroad program which was implemented to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

- Education Intern
Waukesha County Historical Museum, Waukesha, WI (February-June 2011) Led school tours in the museum and in various schools through the outreach program. Developed a contact list for schools in the county to update them on events at the museum. Researched the permanent exhibits to develop a new Fox Project which will incorporate kid-friendly signage and additional information to peak children's interest. Observed and participated in many public education programs for the community. Gained a comfortable rapport with a diverse group of students as well as a confidence in my own knowledge and expertise of subject matter.

Jefferson High School, School District of Jefferson, Jefferson, WI (January-June 2006) Developed and implemented a wide variety of lessons for a variety of subjects and a diverse group of students including special education students at the high school level. Incorporated cross-curricular elements into lessons and units, including the incorporation of historical books into the English program. Designed, planned, and implemented units on World War I, Great Depression, and Socialization in the Early Years. Experimented with various classroom management strategies. Communicated with parents via e-mail, progress reports, and notes home. Gained a great rapport with students which is essential to maintaining the classroom.
