The STEM 2035 educator’s role is to plan, implement, and evaluate a program consistent with the mission of the museum and the STEM 2035 initiative. Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Science; Education; or a related field. New York State Teaching Certification and teaching experience a plus. A demonstrated interest in working with young people is required. Additional qualifications include computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, social media, and desktop publishing; ability to work in a team setting; and excellent organization and communication skills.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Implement weekly educational outreach of STEM programming to Say Yes to Education’s Community Schools, the North Tonawanda Youth Center, and the Boys and Girls Club of the Northtowns.
2. Indentify other community partners, who work with disadvantaged youth during out of school hours, to collaborate with.
3. Create new STEM activities for out of school programming and museum STEM Weeks and Summer STEM Weekends.
4. Develop lessons and programming for the Summer STEM Camp.
5. Recruit summer campers
6. Recruit interns to help with facilitation during camp.
7. Oversee the day to day operation of the STEM Summer Camp.
General Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a professional attitude and a loyalty to the museum in all public contacts; consistently acts with integrity and in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
- Cooperates with other staff and volunteers in furthering the museum’s general objectives and in completing museum projects.
- Accepts reasonable assignments whether or not they are specifically included in this position description. Demonstrates flexibility in helping others and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
- Learns the budgetary and other constraints within which this job must be performed and works within those limitations.
Hours: 40 hours per week average, including after school and weekend hours. Scheduling will be flexible.

The Coordinator, Guided Tours is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Lincoln Center Guided Tours program, including scheduling tour guides and creating tour routes, processing group tour invoices, and managing end of day sales reporting and reconciliation.
