Pipe Organs The New Zealand Organ Manufactory has been given responsibility for the disposal of the three-manual pipe organ in St. Matthew's-in-the-City, in Auckland, in preparation for the installation of their new four-manual Henry Willis & Son instrument scheduled for arrival in January 2010. Various ranks and parts have already been spoken for. A complete list of parts will be available soon.
The 1863 Telford organ from Hillside Rd Methodist in Dunedin has been installed in a Dunedin residence. The 1910 Jenkins/1944 Alden organ from St. Peter's Caversham has been sold to a Temuka organist and installed in a music room built for the purpose. The 1897 Greymouth Presbyterian Hobday has been sold to St. Mary's Catholic church in Tauranga. The Matla organ formerly in a Hastings residence has been sold to and installed in Avondale Catholic church. We are always on the lookout for instruments to supply to desirous clients, so should you have a pipe organ lurking in your attic unwanted and unloved, do not fail to contact us.
Supplies We are pleased to announce that the New Zealand Organ Manufactory can now offer our own brand of power supply specifically designed for pipe organ control systems. The "TRANZOM" is manufactured for us by one of New Zealand's leading electronic and transformer engineers. It is able to provide a choice of four voltages at a high amperage. Enquiries are welcome. |
